Sikligar Education
Education Project for Sikligar Children in the various states was taken up. In 2000, it started with the enrollment of 22 children aged between 6 to 12 and 6 younger children in Bangalore school. Later it was expanded to several other Deras/Bastis in various Districts of Karnataka.

Your support is uplifting poor migratory tribe known as SIKLIGARS, popularly known as their trademark of making keys, polishing iron work, blacksmiths etc. throughout India. From being Angootha Chaap (Illiterate) your help is bringing a revolution of change among the vulnerable community members who simply rely on their Thumb Impressions which is a curse to human society, especially in the 21st century.
Nishkam recognized the complexity of the “migration process” – the core threat of Sikligar Sikhs’ progress throughout India. Furthermore, we underlined the need to have a multiple policy initiatives, matching with their lifestyle needs covering regional, social and cultural specificities and got success.
